1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website and online materials provided by Meindful Bookkeepers & Consultants LLC ("Meindful," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website.
2. Website Information Only
The website provides general information about Meindful, bookkeeping services, business systems, financial reporting support, consultations, diagnostics, educational resources, and related topics. Website content is general information and may not reflect your specific facts, records, software, contracts, tax situation, or legal obligations.
3. No Professional Relationship Until Written Engagement
Visiting the website, downloading a guide, submitting a form, requesting a consultation or diagnostic, or communicating with Meindful does not by itself create a client, fiduciary, accountant-client, or other professional relationship. A professional relationship begins only after Meindful and the client enter into a written engagement agreement or other written authorization that defines the services, responsibilities, fees, and terms.
4. No Legal, Tax, Audit, or Investment Advice
Unless expressly stated in a signed engagement agreement, website content and preliminary communications are not legal, tax, investment, audit, assurance, or attestation advice. Meindful does not prepare tax returns. You should consult an appropriately licensed attorney, tax professional, investment adviser, or other specialist for advice within that professional’s scope.
5. Services, Pricing, and Availability
Descriptions of services, packages, diagnostics, estimated timelines, prices, and availability are informational and may change. Final scope, fees, deliverables, responsibilities, timing, payment terms, and limitations will be stated in a written proposal, engagement agreement, invoice, or other written confirmation. If website language conflicts with a signed engagement agreement, the signed engagement agreement controls.
6. Bookkeeping Diagnostic
A bookkeeping diagnostic is a limited review intended to identify observations, risks, priorities, and possible next steps based on the information made available. It is not an audit, review, compilation, attestation, forensic examination, tax return preparation, legal opinion, or guarantee that every error, irregularity, control weakness, compliance issue, or fraud indicator will be discovered. Cleanup, corrections, implementation, filing, or ongoing services are separate unless expressly included in writing.
7. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely information when requesting services or communicating with Meindful.
- Do not submit confidential credentials or highly sensitive financial, identity, tax, payroll, or payment information through public website forms or ordinary email unless Meindful provides a secure method.
- Use the website lawfully and do not attempt to interfere with security, access controls, availability, or other users.
- Independently review business decisions and seek specialized advice when appropriate.
8. Intellectual Property
The website, branding, text, graphics, guides, downloads, templates, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Meindful and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Meindful grants you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive right to access the website and use downloadable resources for your own internal business purposes. You may not sell, republish, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or use the materials to compete with Meindful without written permission, except as allowed by law.
9. Third-Party Tools and Links
The website may use or link to third-party platforms for hosting, scheduling, forms, email marketing, customer relationship management, analytics, communications, payments, or other functions. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Meindful does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, availability, security, or content.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Meindful does not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, current, complete, or suitable for every purpose, or that use of website information will produce a particular business, financial, or compliance result. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meindful and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or similar losses arising from or related to the website or website content. Any limitation applicable to paid professional services should be stated in the relevant written engagement agreement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Meindful and its owners, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful misuse of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights. This section should be reviewed for scope and enforceability before publication.
13. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any different requirement in an applicable signed agreement or applicable law, disputes relating to the website will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in Illinois. This section should be reviewed before publication to confirm the preferred venue and dispute process.
14. Changes to the Website or Terms
Meindful may update the website or these Terms from time to time. The current version will be posted with an updated date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
15. Severability and Waiver
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

- Have an attorney review the limitation of liability, indemnification, intellectual-property license, disclaimer, and governing-law provisions.
- Confirm all website claims, certifications, service descriptions, starting prices, diagnostic pricing, and experience statements before launch.
- Use bonnie@bonniemeinders.com as the confirmed ActiveCampaign marketing sender, and confirm the physical mailing address before marketing emails begin.
- Confirm that these Terms match the final engagement agreement, diagnostic scope, payment practices, refund/cancellation policies, and any scheduler or payment-provider terms.
- Remove this review checklist and the draft notice only after Scout and the appropriate legal reviewer approve the public version.
